WHAT I HAVE WHISPERED IN YOUR EAR… The verse that started it all, along with many of the verses I learned and memorized along the way in my younger years as a Christian. Machine quilted with wording hand embroidered. 40″x42″. $325.00
FOOLISH HEART. This was one of the first Housetop Quilts I made. It is a reflection of how I was feeling at that time, and I ran across this verse in Psalms that described me better than I could myself. Isn’t it helpful to know that someone felt the same way thousands of years ago! Machine quilted. 29″x26″. $195.00

HOPE. 2 Corinthians 4:7-9 has long been one of the verses I clung to in the most difficult of times, especially the phrase “perplexed, but not driven to despair.” I might not understand why something has happened, but I will never be driven to despair as I know that God is always in control. ISAIAH 58. The words of Isaiah 58, along with so many others in the Bible, clearly illustrate God’s concern for the poor and needy, and His longing for us to participate with Him in helping ‘the least of these.’ Machine quilted. 39″x54″. Private collection.
CONFIDENCE. Often on Sunday mornings during the service, I run across verses that particularly inspire me and lift me up. What a wonderful thought this verse is, that we can face God with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. The scripture is found in I John 4:16-17. CHRIST, THE ETERNAL WORD. Can you see the outline of the cross in the background? As Brennan Manning called it, “The Signature of Jesus.” These lovely, powerful words are the prologue to the book of John. Machine quilted. 28″x41″. $225.00
I AM. Every Sunday I sit and look at the big wooden cross at the front of our church. The cross is such an inspiration to me. And these beautiful definitive words of Jesus’ seem perfect super-inscribed on the cross. Machine quilted with wording hand embroidered. 30″x37″. $225.00
FOR HAITI. My friend Wendy and I have started a child sponsorship program for a small impoverished village in Haiti. The colors of this quilt were inspired by the bright artwork of Haiti, and contains some of the important and inspiring verses for Wendy and I as we work together on this challenging project. GOD SPEAKS. Another departure from the Housetop style. It started with just a little stitching doodle, in a spiral shape. So much of God’s creation involves spirals–have you noticed? And then I thought about all the places that God has spoken from in the Bible–and that was the basis for this quilt. Machine quilted with words hand embroidered. 42″X33″ $375.00
LAUGHING WOMAN. Of course this is a phrase from the well-know Proverbs 31 woman. It is a combination of the housetop style along with extensive hand embroidery. Finished with machine quilting. 14″x13″. SOLD
THE VINE. This verse was very influential in my discipleship process. It was comforting for me to realize that my part was to abide in Jesus. I could do nothing without Him. Machine quilted, with words hand embroidered. 43″x33″. $275.00
THE CROSS. Not the Housetop style, and I believe this is the only quilt that uses prints, and it is the only quilt without words. But again, it speaks clearly without words, as it is ‘The Signature of Jesus.’ Machine quilted with raw edge appliqué, finished with hand embroidered embellishment. 24″x32″. Private collection.
FOR MOM. My mom has had beautiful snow white hair since she was about 35! When I told her about my Housetop Quilt Project, she shared her favorite verse with me. It is found in Isaiah 46:4. Machine quilted with hand embroidered flowers and words. 29″x22″.
AS THE DEER. Another diversion from the housetop style, this is just a little freeform play with shapes and colors. It is hand quilted with cotton thread. 18″x19″ Private collection

oh, wow, so much more here to look at. the one with the mostly white background and bird (‘The Cross’) is so beautiful, so colorful, creative. just wow.
